Be Merry

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May you all be happy and healthy now and in the new year. Peace. Love. Hugs.

All about Santa

This year Alex is all about Santa. Any chance he gets he wants to see him and talk to him. This is a big change from last year and the year before that. We had his picture taken with Santa at the mall. This Tues. he took a pic with Santa at school. The school pic is the best! I love it. The mall pic is cute, becuase Matt is in it. I think it is funny how Matthew looks like he is about to cry, but is trying hard to be brave at the same time. I love Christmas! Santa is cool.

Matthew turns one!

Well, Dec. 4th my baby turned one. I cannot believe it. This year went by faster than I don't know what. Matt is a happy lil' one year old. He isn't quite walking yet, but he is saying several words. He gets around pretty well, let me tell ya. He is just not ready for that first step just yet. That is ok with me. I want him to stay a baby as long as he can. As you can see he did not dive into his cake. He actually only took a few bites with his fork. He's so sweet.

Fun in Austin

I had the pleasure of spending the Friday after Thanksgiving in Austin, TX. I went up with Kevin, Janice, and Ryan. We went to the UT game and then hung out on 6th street and near the campus. We had a great time at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar . We sang until our throats were soar. We left on Sat. It was a short trip but, we had a great time!!

Party in Matthew's Crib

Earlier this month, I was looking for Alex all over the house. I knew he was awake but, he was being a little too quiet. Well, I finally found him. He was in Matthew's crib. There they were playing and laughing together. Who knows how long that had been going on before I decided to break up their little party. I took this picture of them. It reminds me of a picture my mom has of me and Janice. I got in the crib with Janice when we were the same ages as Alex and Matt. It is weird to think of that time with me and her and then to see my own two boys doing the same thing. I need to try and find that pic.

Pearly Whites

Alex had a dental appointment this week. He was so brave. When they called his name he went back with the hygienist all by himself. He had his teeth cleaned. He looked so cute going back with Ms. Carol. This was only his second visit ever. The first time I got to go back and watch. We are happy to report that he has no cavities. Which after Halloween makes this momma very happy!

A camping we will go...

We went camping last weekend. Kevin, the boys, and me, along with my sis in-law Jennifer, Maddie, Preston, and Mr. and Mrs. P went to Huntsville State Park . We left on Friday and returned on Sunday. Saturday, Brian, Stevo, and even my parents came out and joined us. The weather was great. Sunny and cold. Saturday night got a little too cold so we camped out at the Holiday Inn in Huntsville with the kids. Kevin and Mr. P stuck it out and slept in the tent. We made smores and foil dinners. We even went to the nature center for a presentation on alligators. Good times!!

Sea World

On Nov. 3-5 we went to Sea World San Antonio with Kevin's parents. We joined our friends The Cokers and The Alvarados there, too. We all had a great time!! The weather was great. We rode the rides, saw the shows, and even had dinner with Shamu. Alex was beside himself. He loves Sea World and Shamu so much. Not to mention he loved having his grandparents and friends there to enjoy the whole experience with him. I can't wait to do it again!

Alex and Daddy

Alex and Kevin took advantage of the nice weather and worked in the yard today. Alex was so excited that he got to help. He calls the yard the garden. So, he was happy to help in the garden.

Breakfast with Matthew

This morning Matt was all smiles. He was ready to eat his breakfast. He likes it best if you let him feed himself. It is hard to believe he will be 11 months on Nov. 4th. Time sure does fly. Why?? Ugh.
