I Just Love This Picture

A Trip To Blue Bell

On President's Day , we made a day trip to the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham, Texas . Steve, my brother in-law, called and said he and his kiddos were going to Blue Bell and they invited us to come along. Kevin had the day off and none us had ever been to Blue Bell, so we took him up on his offer. We packed up and made our way to Brenham . Before we made it to the creamery we had lunch at the Brenham Municipal Airport . We ate at the Southern Flyer Restaurant at the airport. It is a 50s style diner. The waitresses are decked out in poodle skirts and the whole nine. It was fun. Afterwards, we watched a few planes arrive and depart. Then we were off for our 11:30 tour. It was so fun to watch how the ice cream that we eat at home is made. Matt and Alex especially loved the ice cream sandwiches being made. They are a Parks staple. If you have never made the trip to the creamery, I highly recommend it. At the end of the tour you get a sizeable sample of ice cream. They let you choose ...

Alex is 6!

Alex turned 6 on Feb. 24th! I can't believe it. My little four pound preemie is now a 44 pound 6 year old! He had the flu on his birthday so we celebrated at home with a special dinner. Kevin brought home a cookie cake. We sang and he opened his present from us. We gave him a new Texas Longhorns jersey and a killer whale (Shamu) webkinz . It was a fun night. Happy Birthday, Alex!

Taking Chance: First of My Fave Things 2009

Last year, I started posting some of my Fave Things . If I find something I like or love, I like to share it with you guys. Well, this is my first favorite thing of '09, a movie I watched the other night on HBO called Taking Chance . It stars Kevin Bacon . Who doesn't love a Kevin Bacon movie? Right? It is why I stopped and started watching it. Well...I did not know I would be in for such a very moving treat. It is a must see. If you get HBO then you should watch for sure. You won't be sorry.

Houston Symphony: John Williams Music

Kevin and I went to the Houston Symphony with some friends from church, Donald and Stephanie , a few weeks ago. We heard the music of John Williams . It was really fun. There was of course a lot of Star Wars pieces as well as a few characters . Thanks for the tickets Steph and Donald! We had a great time.

Steve's Birthday Dinner

Last week we celebrated my brother in-law, Steve's, 30ish birthday. We went to Chuy's . The food was yummy. Being with family was fun. The boys got a little creative with the tortilla dough they gave them to play with. Boys will be boys! Hope you had a great birthday Steve! Alex and Preston Alex's Texas made out of the tortilla dough.

And Now A Matthew Moment

Look what I found! Where was Matthew? No where to be found. I guess he was saving it for later. The powdered donut saga continues. A Night Out With The Boys

Last Friday, Kevin, the boys, and I went to a Houston Aero's game. We had a great time. Especially the boys. They took pictures with the cheerleaders, The Dynamics. We even saw Buc-ee Beaver. We had great third row seats where we cheered on the team from. We watched for flying hockey pucks (puffs). Matthew calls them Hockey puffs. I can't forget about all the junk food we ate. It was fun!
