2007: No Different

I must say, I thought after the new year rolled around that things would settle down a bit. Nope. Here we are on the eve of a new month and things are moving right a long. At a rapid pace I might add. Yikes!! Will things ever settle down? Is it just me? Or do you guys feel the same? Is any one out there? Well, gotta run!

Going to D.C. Going to see my sista!

Kevin has a conference in Washington D.C. on Feb. 8-9. So, the boys and I are going to tag along. We leave on Feb. 5 and return on Feb. 9. Kevin, was so nice to make it a small family trip so we could visit my sister. I am so excited. And so is she. She is counting down the days!! I will post pics as soon as we return.

The guys in the Mother's Day video

If you are reading this, then you have seen my last post. The one with the Mother's Day video. Isn't it pee in your pants funny?! I think so. I love watching it. If you do, too. Then you will love the others. Yes, there are others. These two guys are hilarious. And pretty cute, too. You can see more of their stuff at BaratsandBereta.com . Enjoy.

What a deal! Or steal. You decide.

Who doesn't love a deal? Or a steal. How ever you want to look at it. Well, the next time you are in Target walk on over to the snack bar. And I don't mean Starbucks . Or Takeyourbucks. No, I like Starbucks. But, anyway. Go up to the snack counter and get a Popcorn Combo. It is 16oz. drink and a small popcorn for a buck. $1.00. Add tax and it is still only $1.07. You can't go wrong. Then if that is not all, when you are done eating your tasty delicious perfectly salted popcorn while shopping your lovely local Target (I love that store). You just go help your self to a free refill. Yup. All for a $1.00. Then when you check out and spend more than what you came in to because you know that always happens when you go to Target. You can't pass up their little red clearance tags. Ha. I know I am not the only one. You can say but, hey I got popcorn and a drink for a buck. And a free refill or two. A small popcorn alone is $.99. So why not make it a combo.

Q: Alex, What do you want for Christmas?

A: A humpback whale toothbrush . That's right. Everytime someone would ask Alex want he wanted from Santa that is what he would say. He'd never seen one. Just thought it would be cool to have one. For those of you that don't know, Alex is ALL about whales and dolphins. His fave whale is the one named Shamu! Well, Santa came through. He got his humpback whale toothbrush. I hope next Christmas he asks for a bike or a truck. Ha!

Mount Wash

To wash or not to wash? That is the question. The answer. We washed. All weekend. We had a ton of wash to do. Being gone for a week plus whatever wash we had before the holidays really added up. I forget how many loads we had. Ten maybe. If not more. As you can see the boys had some fun on Mt. Wash. I had to put them upstairs just to sort it. Yuck. As you can see our tree was still up as of this weekend, too. It is put away now. We were busy little bees.

Why?

Why does a zit right on the lip line... HURT so much? Does anyone know? I know you know what I am talking about. I feel like I am back in 8th grade today with this thing on my face. And why if it hurts so bad do I keep picking at it, increasing my/the pain and making it even bigger, and redder, and grosser. Ok. I am stopping now. Smiles!!

Must see TV

How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite new shows. Kevin and I watched season one over the summer. If you liked Friends you will like this show. Now, I can't say it is better than Friends. But, it ranks high on my list. The three lead guy actors are cuties! Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, M.D.) is excellent in this. He cracks me up every week! Mondays to be exact. CBS. Watch it. It is great. You can watch season one on DVD now. Check it out! It is a good sitcom. And there aren't many of those anymore. Sitcoms. This is real TV at its best.

High School Musical

I went to see Disney's High School Musical (the concert) in Dec. It is Grease for preteens. I went with my goddaughter Gabi, her cousin Madalyn (Cuz), my niece Madeline, my sister in-law Jennifer, and Sandi Alvarado. We had a great time!! I have to say that I liked it before and I like it even more now. The songs are great. The tunes are catchy. I can't stop singing them. Part two is due this summer. I can't wait!

Our first family vacation. It was a road trip.

We (Kevin, me, and the boys) just got back last night from our first family vacation. We drove. Yes, I said drove. We drove to the Smoky mountains near Gatlinburg, Tennessee . That's right we drove with our 3 year old and our one year old all the way to Tennessee. For a week. It was fun. They did great. We saw snow. The highlight of Alex's week. Matt was not as impressed with being bundled up to sit in the cold. I enjoyed every minute of it. Well, maybe not the last few hours before we got home. We were ready to be out of the car...uh, van. You can see the pics on the slideshow post below.
