I am an American Idol watcher for sure.

Every year come Easter time I look forward to buying Peeps . Which means they show up in stores right after Valentine's Day. Normally, I am not a big fan of the marshmallow but, get that pink or yellow sugar around one and MMMM! They are so good. I love them!! And so does Alex. We have gone through several packages already. I love the bunnies or chicks. And only in pink or yellow. Weird? I don't know. Something about a blue or green Peep just isn't right to me. Anyway, here is my question. Are you a Peeps fan? Because Kevin loathes Peeps . He doesn't even want to watch me or Alex eat them. Do you like Peeps? Yes No

Barats and Bereta are at it again. These guys are so funny. I am a huge fan. I first posted a similar video titled " Mother's Day ." This is a newer version that they filmed for a Barnaked Ladies video to the song 'The Sound of Your Voice' . I am also a fan of the BNL . So much talent behind this three minute video. I predict we will hear a lot more from Barats and Bereta. Well enough. Enjoy!

Alex's caterpillars are in stage two of their metamorphosis . It is so cool to watch.

One year ago today, Kevin and I were in New Orleans. We went to the wedding of two very dear friends of ours. John and Kathryn Kertz. Well, today I am thinking about that day and remembering the wonderful time we all had. I'd like to wish them a very Happy First Anniversary!! We love you guys so much!!

These are pictures of Matthew and his friend Emma Summers. They cheer on Team Unicorns. Emma's big sister Mia plays on Alex's team. Their Dad, Shannon is the assistant coach. They are even wearing their Team Unicorns shirts in these pictures. Aren't they so cute?!! It won't be long before they are on their own soccer team.

Alex is playing soccer at the YMCA . He loves soccer!! And he loves his coach. So do I. He is cute!! It is his Dad! Go Coach Parks!! His team name is The Unicorns. The kids also wanted to be the Horsies. We'll take Unicorns. This is his second season to play. Here are few pictures from his last game .

Alex got a Butterfly Garden for his birthday from his Grandma and Pa . It is really neat. We sent off for his 5 caterpillars (larvae). They arrived on Monday. You can click on the picture on the right to see them close up. They have already grown quite a bit since then. In about 7-10 days they should form their chrysalis 's. Before we know it we will have grown our very own Painted Lady Butterflies . Alex knows this process is called metamorphosis . He learned all about it watching Little Einsteins . Thank you Mr. Disney! Alex already says he does not want to set the butterflies free. He wants to keep them as pets. We'll keep you posted!

I just wanted to share this pic of my boys and their cousins, Maddie and Preston. They are all super close. They act almost like brothers and sister than cousins. I love it! I had cousins that I was very close to growing up. And we are still close. I don't know what I would do without them. I am so glad that my boys have this as well. Friends for life!!

Did I have a one? A break. I did have some fun last week. Let's see. I got to go thrift store shopping with my mom, Jenny and the kids. I love the thrift shops. Fersure. Alex and Gabi made dinner one night. They made homemade pizza. The pizzas were good. And so were Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty (new episodes last week). Sandi and I watched while we ate the pizza. Then over the weekend, the boys and I went to Henderson, Texas with my mom to see my Aunt Loretta and her 31 baby goats. That was the most fun! We also saw her chickens, geese, cows, dogs, and I can't forget the mama goats. Oh, and I hosted Bunco at my house last week, too. The Bunco Babes are a blast. Thanks to Jenny, Faye, and Anna for being subs. Then last night I caught a movie with Sandi. Music and Lyrics . It was really cute. Hugh Grant. Also really cute. All the junk we ate. Not so cute. Ok. So maybe I did get a break. It was a great week!

move your clocks forward an hour. This year daylight savings time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 11. That means extra sunlight at least. An extra hour to enjoy this great weather. While it lasts! Try not to think of the lost hour of sleep. Have a great weekend!!

On Sunday, March 4, we went to Spring Fling at Strake Jesuit High School . My sister in law Linda works there. We had a great day! The weather was good. There was a ton of great food to eat. Still thinking about those yummy egg rolls. They had a ton of stuff to see and do. It reminded me of the church bazzars we attended as kids, my sister and me. Anyway. Then there was the bull. My niece Maddie saw it first. She was going to ride it. Then decided not to. Then I looked over at the bull and without a thought as to how ridiculous I would look doing it, I looked at Maddie and said come on I'll ride it. And I did. Secretly, I have wanted to try it ever since I saw Urban Cowboy . Riding a bull. A mechanical one. Don't get me near a real one. I am not that crazy. Well, as promised here are the pics. Because you are my friends I am letting you watch. Or should I say, I am giving you permission to laugh at me. Not to mention Linda has probably posted these all over the place already! L...

Man, what a difference a week makes. Matt is officially walking! Finally!! It is so cute. He is saying a lot more now too. This week he said, Nana, and Beamer (The Ps dog). When he doesn't know the words he points and grunts. Loudly. Yup. Until he gets what he wants. And if he does not get it a tantrum he will throw! He went from baby to toddler in a week. Oh, I am in trouble. And so is poor Alex. Matt bit him on the back Wed. He wanted a toy Alex had and Alex had it first. So much change for little Matt has him going a little crazy. Plus, I think he is getting some new teeth. Yay!! Not.
