Vacation Bible School

Alex has been attending VBS at our church AUMC this week. He is having a blast. He is hanging out with some old friends and making some new ones. He can't stop talking about it! And the whole family is involved. Jennifer, Ms. P, and me are working in crafts. And Pa is helping with bible story time. Maddie and Preston are having fun along side Alex. It has been fun!!

This Girl HAD So Much Fun!!

Erasure and Cyndi rocked the house last night. I was in 80s heaven. It was so great! Cyndi Lauper sang her heart out. Andy Bell of Erasure sang all my favorites. It was awesome to me!! Plus, I was with some of my favorite peeps. Kevin, J.C., Johnny K., Kathryn, and Lawrence (not p ictured). Thanks for going guys. It was great seeing you!

This Girl Just Wants To Have Fun

I am going to see one of my favorite musical artists in concert on Sunday. Cyndi Lauper . The first concert I ever went to was Cyndi's back in 1984. I was almost 12. I think. Thanks Pop for taking me. It was so much fun! I am wearing the concert T from that show in the following pic. Yup. From 84! I heart the 80s people. I am excited also, because ERASURE will also perform at this show. YaY!! It is an Erasure concert that I went to in the early 90s at Jones Hall that I think was the best show EVER!! If you were there then you know what I am talking about. I am so excited. I am going with Kevin and some friends that he went to UST with. I hope to see my amiga from church there, too. I will look for ya Stephanie. Let the good times and tunes roll!!

What Are You Watching This Summer?

With all my other fave shows now showing re-runs unitl Sept. I am watching the new season of Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List . You can catch it on Bravo . She is so funny. I love how she makes fun of herself and other celebs. Good stuff. Next month, I am sure I will be watching Big Brother 8.

Alex Says, "San Antonio Is Sea World!"

S.A. Bound

Last weekend it was Austin . This weekend it is San Antonio . We are going to spend a few days there . We are going to take Alex to Sea World , too. He doesn't know. Won't he be surprised when we drive there today. Yay! Have a great weekend y'all!

Super Bunny?

Here is a picture of Alex in his Superman cape, bunny ears from his Easter party at school, and some awful teeth he got out of one of those gumball machines. The teeth kinda creep me out. I had to take his pic though because he cracked us up with this get up.

Geico Caveman

Right this minute I am all about the Geico commercials. Yes, the ones with the caveman/cavemen . You know the ones. I especially love the one where he is at the airport. He is riding that people mover thingy. I love the song in it. I recently found out it is called Remind Me by Royksopp . There is a great website that is called Caveman's Crib . Check it out! It is fun. We will soon be seeing more of these cavemen. ABC is developing a half hour sitcom pilot around these guys from the commercials.

With So Many Things To Help Save Time...

Like drive thrus , microwaves, EZ Tag , pull apart cookies you can bake in 8-10 minutes, Netflix (movies delivered right to your home), blackberrys (email, i nternet , etc. at your fingertips), IMs , emails, salad in a bag, spray salad dressings, lunchables , self cleaning ovens, drive thru car wash places, online shopping, online banking, you can even renew library books online, spray tans in a can, breath strips (You don't even have to suck or chew anymore. It just dissolves on its own.) Tivo (record and watch later, skipping the commercials), self check-outs at most grocery stores, and I just heard of dry shampoo spray (just spray and comb out). With all this and more. Why is it that we still don't have enough time?!?!
