UPDATE!

Just after my last post. Which by the way I typed with a crying Matthew in my lap. This is Matthew right this second. Catching up on his ZZZs! Yay! Now I can catch up on something around here. Wish it was my ZZZs! Peace out!

And Now A Matthew Moment...

So, after months and months. Six or more in fact, without a single new tooth. Last night I discovered Matthew has four new ones that have just broken skin. So, here is a little video of what life has been like in our house over the last 12 hours. Have a nice day!

Me: A Simpson's Character?

I created a Simpson's avatar . This is what I would look like if I were to visit Springfield. You can make one , too. Anyone seen the movie yet?

Long Time No Blog

Hi and Hello to all that read my blog. Thanks by the way. I have a ton of new posts coming soon!!! I just got back from Banff National Park in Canada! That's me in a canoe on Lake Louise . One of my new fave places. Kevin and I went there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (Aug. 16). Lots going on. Stay tuned!

Austin Children's Museum

Here are a few pics from a trip to Austin we made in June.

If Your Going To Live In Texas...

YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN UMBRELLA!! UGH! What in the world?! What is this like day 3o something in a row of straight rain! This is what I want to know. Would you rather have rain every day or a hurricane hit us?? Please comment. Me. I am thinking a hurricane would come and go. Finito. Done.

Lady Bird Johnson

Can I just say that I am so sad that Lady Bird died. I really liked and admired her. I am a closet fan. I copied this quote I found today. I like what Mr. Moyers said : "It is unthinkable to me that she's gone. She was so much a part of our landscape, so much a part of our lives," Bill Moyers, a television host and former aide to President Lyndon Johnson. I saw her once. She was on her lawn chair at the LBJ Ranch . Our tour bus was passing by and she waved. A treat said the tour guide. She rarely came out during tours, I guess. Lucky me!

Our Beach Trip

We spent a week at the beach from July 2-July 8. No amount of rain could have ruined our time. It was a blast!!

Go, Diego, Go Live!

Alex and one of his best buds, Brennan went to see Go, Diego, Go Live! yesterday. It was at the Hobby Center downtown. They had a blast!! Allison and I had fun, too. We all sang and danced. We even got to see Dora the Explorer . She paid her cousin Diego a visit for a few of the songs. That was cool! It was a great afternoon. Alex has already asked me this morning if we could go again today.

Flashback

Ok. Raise your hand if you remember the Trapper Keeper by Mead . Now raise your hand if you had one. Napoleon Dynamite has one and my hand is raised, too. I had one with a kitten on the front. Well, I was cruising the aisles of Target yesterday and I stumbled upon the school supplies. Had to take a look. Who doesn't love school supplies? Anyhoo. Guess what I found? Trapper Keepers are back! I am happy to report that they look just like the ones I remember from back in the day. EXCEPT one thing is missing...THE VELCRO closure. UGH! It now has a quiet little magnet closure. What fun is that?! No loud ripping noise every time you open it. C'mon. That's no fun. Sorry, kids of today but, you are missing out. Like fersure!

A Fun Family Day

Hip Hop Abs

Here is a clip from my new fave infomercial for Hip Hop Abs . My friend Sandi and I had some fun with the ol' Hip Hop Abs last week at the beach. Go Sandi, Go Sandi! Ha! We could teach a class. Just kidding. My class would have to be called Hip Hop Flab. If you are up late one night and Hip Hop Abs is on then check it out!

Friends Now: Future Girlfriends Later?!

I took this picture of Alex and Matthew last night at Kevin's soccer game. Alex is sharing my sister's iPod with Mia. And Matthew is sitting next to Emma. She shared her chips with him. The four of them were watching their dad's play soccer. Kevin and Shannon have played together since their days at the YMCA. Mia turns five in Sept. and Alex in Feb. Emma just turned two in June and Matt turns two in Dec. So, they are the perfect ages for each other. Matt and Emma bonded on the sidelines of the YMCA . They were watching Alex and Mia play on the same team this spring. Alex and Mia have been friends since they were two. Perfect match? Hmmm...you never know.

Me and My Sis

My sister has been here visiting. Today we hung out all day. It was fun. She leaves tomorrow. I am so sad. I hate that part. When she leaves.

Back From The Beach

We left on July 2 to Crystal Beach. We just got back today. We had a blast!! Rain and shine it was the best!! Cokers, Pagels, Alvarados...thanks for the memories. Can't wait for Beach Party 2008!!
