Cheers, to a new year!

I hope that everyone had a safe and happy new year's eve. Our day was filled with getting both cars inspected before midnight. Kevin spent most of the morning and afternoon doing that. He left around 11 a.m. and was not done until about 3:30 p.m. He was not the only one trying to get a car inspected last minute. Lol! Then we just hung out at the house a bit. In the evening we went to The Coker's for a party. It was a kid friendly party. Brandi had an awesome idea to let the kids get glittered and glammed and party like "rock stars!" There was karaoke, silly string (I don't know who had more fun with that the kids or the grown-ups), the kids made their own noise makers (so crafty), played charades (parents acted out silly stuff kids do and the kids guessed. ex: picking your nose) ,they even had a dance party!! I wish I had, had a video camera. Matthew danced his pants off. Literally. His pants were too big and when he'd dance they would slide down to his knees. What a classic Matthew moment. Ha! We watched a fireworks display provided by the Coker's neighbors. I cannot forget to mention the food!! We had a ton. And it was all good! Thanks Shannon, Court, and Brandi. Yum-o! Then the Alvarado's helped the kids light sparklers. That was fun! Believe it or not all the kids including the grown-ups all made it to midnight (barely) and we all had a sparkling cider and champagne toast with a balloon drop!! Fun!! The best part of the night was the news that the Nichol's had to share when we got there...they are going to have a baby in 2008!!! We are so excited for them!!! To the Pagel, Ellis, and Railey families, we missed you guys. Happy New Year to ya. A specail thanks to the Coker's for throwing such a fun (even if it got kinda messy) New Year's bash!!! Can't wait until next year!!!

Alex shows off his rock star bling!

All the kids had fun with the sparklers.

Someone got Drew good with the silly string.

Balloon drop! Happy New Year!!!

Everyday You Have To....

Every single day is a gift, y'all. Number one. Number two. It is a CHOICE!! Yes. Everyday you have to choose what you are going to do. Once you open your eyes it is up to yoU to call it. What's it going to be??? This morning is no different for me. Those that read my post on June 26, know now. Not my choice but, KP and I are getting a divorce. Today, is another step on making it real and final. We have mediation. I know there are those of you out there that have something bigger than divorce. I may not know exactly your feelings but, I am with you. I feel you. The struggle is real!! Like really real.  SO. It is mine and yours. Our choice to wake up and choose it up!! As for me  and today I picked getting up and going to Crossfit. Well, I chose that after Tracy's text saying, "Are you sore? Ok, Good. Now get up and let's go!" So, after that then I chose to go! Lol. But. I could have made an EXCUSE and stayed in bed worrying about today and feeling sa...
