Blessing of the Pets @ AUMC!

Our church had their first ever Blessing of the Pets this past Sunday. We took our dog, Phoebe, of course. Our pastor, Andy Noel, blessed the pets. There were dogs, cats, a hamster, and a rabbit. It was fun. We sang a few songs, some scripture was read, the pets were blessed. It was full of fun and fellowship! Plus we got to pet all the pets. Which the boys loved!!

And Now A Matthew Moment

Matthew is going to be Pongo , the Dalmatian from Disney's 101 Dalmatians for Halloween. It is a hand me down from Alex. Well, he tried it on last week and he started acting like a dog. Talk about getting into character. He then told me needed a bone. Ha. Here is a clip of him acting like Pongo. I hope you can see it. It is kind of dark. And you can also hear Alex (Spiderman) talking to Nana on the phone. LoL! Original Video

Guess who got a haircut!!

Suri did!!!!!!!!!!!! I can see her eyes again. :) See my original post below .

Fun Finds: Every Freaking! Day with Rachell Ray: An Unauthorized Parody

Ok. So. Amazon.com is one of my fave places to buy stuff online. I even have an amazon wishlist. So, from time to time I look up stuff and add it to my wishlist. It is fun. Today I ran into this hi-larious book while I was wishing around. I think it is so funny. It is called: Every Freaking Day With Rachell Ray . An obvious parody. But how fun. This is perfect for a big RR fan. Or the person you can't ever find something for. Read some of the stuff on the cover. Ha! Love it. Fun.

I Suri-ously Need To Vent!

Now, I am big Suri Cruise fan! I am. Her cute dresses and awesome Mary Jane shoes she always wears. Love 'em. She wears them well. But c'mon Katie, Suri-ously. If you are gonna grow out Suri 's bangs please clip them to the side or the back. Just out of her cute little blue eyes! --FYI, I am not a Tom C. fan. Uh, no. Not.

Come One. Come All.

And Now A Matthew Moment

Lip gloss and Lexi ! The other day after we had eaten lunch, Lexi , asked Matt if he needed "some of this" (she held up her lipgloss )! He said ok. And so Lexi put "some of this" on him. Ha! Actually, she put "some of this" on me, too. Good times!

Kickin' It Old Skool

Maybe because it is my bday soon. And I am remembering years/birthdays past. Maybe its because I have been cleaning out closets and have run into many memories from high school. Anyway some of these songs are playing on my mental iPod. I used to and still love a good dance song!! Especially ones from the 80s!! Maybe I need to go dancing to 80s songs for my bday. Hmmm!! Do you remember any of these?!?

Happy Birthday, Brandi!!

Got to send a shout out to my bff Brandi!! She celebrated her bday today!! Happy Birthday Coker Mama!!

This month: Think Pink!

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month! I know a lot of people who have been affected by this disease. My family included. As I type, I know a dear friend who is going through chemo. treatments. So, this month and every month please do what you can to be aware of ways you can help in the fight. And tell the women in your lives to please do what they can to take care of themselves if it be through self-exams or by getting a mammogram. You. If you are ready this. Are you doing self exams? Have you had a mammogram? I had my first one done last year. Here is a shirt that Ellen DeGeneres is selling through her website. Her mother is a Breast Cancer Survivor. All profits go to " Ellen for the Cure " campaign, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure . Remember, especially this month to Think Pink!

And Now A Matthew Moment

Here is a picture of Matthew trying to use chop sticks. Ha. He is so funny. He was determined to do it. We were at lunch at Pei Wei in Boulder, Co over the weekend.

Our Hurricane Hosts: The Carrs!

During Ike we pretty much nightly would walk over to our neighbors house, The Carr's: Renae, Chuck, Allie, Ben, Chris, and John. They would build a fire and we'd all sit around and visit. Make S'mores, etc. It was the most fun. We even celebrated Allie and Ben's 14th birthday one night. These were the times that I was kinda glad that we had no power because we were forced to get out of our homes and sit and be neighbors. Talk to each other. Catch up on what everyone is doing. I loved it. And I kinda miss it. I am going to make every effort to continue to visit with my neighbors. Many thanks to The Carr family for having us all over every night. And for the countless favors that they did for us. Renae hauled off all of our debris. Along with her son Ben and our teen neighbor Omar. They also let us borrow their gas blower to blow away debris, and their rake. Our's gave out on us. My neighbors rock!! Thanks for being our 'hurricane hosts'!
