And Now A Matthew Moment

OK. What is the deal?!?! This week Matt has been leaving food all over the house. Driving his momma CRAZY!! I have been picking up after him all week. More like all his life. Ha! All 3 years of it. Help!! Here are the photos of Matt's Food Parade!! First a bag of pretzels. In the foyer. Second, a bag of powdered donuts (a Matthew fave) in my bedroom. This is a pic of the donuts inside the bag. Notice, the bites he takes in each and then puts it back in the bag. Nice. Here is a Capri Sun on the stairs. And here is another juice box in the middle of the floor. Why? I don't know.

Happy Turkey Day

I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Gobble, Gobble!

Alex's Soccer Party

Well, Alex ended yet another soccer season. He had a great time. His cousin, Preston, and one of his best friends, Will McKinney , were on his team this year. It was also fun to see him play with Kate Covey. The two of them were in preschool together. They have known each other since they were about 18 months old. He got to meet some new friends, too. He loves soccer and can't wait to play in the spring. Here are some pictures from the soccer party. It was fun. Thanks to coach Adam and his wife, Allison for putting it all together. They are awesome!!!

Great idea!

My friend Nonna sent me the following message in an email. I think it is a great idea. So, I am passing it on! I hope you will, too. When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get. So, when you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following: A Recovering American Soldier c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue,NW Washington,D.C. 20307-5001 Please pass it on.

So true.

And Now A Matthew Moment

Matthew just came up to me and yelled at the top of his lungs, " RI CHRISTMAS TREAT!!" I said, "What?" He says, "Ri Christmas Treat!!" I want it!! He says. I say ok. Show me. So he runs back with a RICE KRISPIES TREAT. Oh, of course. That is what he had said!! Silly me. Help me, please. Is five o'clock too early for a bedtime? Hmm? ;)

And Now A Matthew Moment

I think when God blessed me with my sweet Matthew, that maybe he thought I needed to have a few more laughs in my life. And maybe he thought I needed to really learn patience as well. To really think about what is important in life. BECAUSE today...my sweet Matthew gave me a few laughs. And a few sighs. First, I think. Hey, I am cleaning the house. Getting stuff done. Going with the flow when....hark what do I find. A lollipop sitting on a pile of clean clothes!!! For one, how long had it been there? Ok, it was the day before yesterday I folded those clothes and shoulda, woulda, coulda have put them away by now. But, still. What, where, when, and why did Matt do this? He knows where the trash is. It is one of his favorite things to do throw stuff away. Was he saving it for later? Ugh. Ok. Then I am looking high and low for my cell phone. Not here. Not there. Not anywhere. Matt said he did not do it (He is the only child in the house. Of course he did it, because if not then I have to a...

Belated Bday Celebration Fun

This was taken by Juan on his Blackberry phone. We were at one of our fave hangouts, Las Ramadas !! The staff had just sung Feliz Cumpleanos to me! They brought me a sopapilla. That is whipped cream on my face. One of the waiters did it. Thanks, Alvarados, Raileys, and Cokers!! It was a great time!!

Halloween Parade at the WLC

Matthew's preschool the Weekday Learning Center had their annual Halloween Parade on Thursday. It was fun. My mom and I went to watch. Then we stayed for chapel and part of the party. Here are a few pics of Matt's fun day. He was Pongo from Disney's 101 Dalmatians. My mom made the costume for Alex when he was Matt's age. I was actually pregnant with Matt the year Alex wore this costume. Wow. Time flies. I can't believe Matthew will be 3 in a month.
