And Now A Matthew Moment

Last Thursday and Friday Matthew was very sick with an ear infection. He just wanted to lay around and sleep. As you can see here. I found him asleep on the stairs. I am happy to report that he is feeling better and back to himself. **And my stairs must be comfy because about four years ago I found a then two year old McKenzie Coker in the same spot sound asleep. Hmm. Doesn't seem comfortable to me!? Whatever works. **

My Fave Things: Anjelah Johnson!!

I got to go and see one of my favorite people in person. Anjelah Johnson ! She is one of the funniest comedians out there! And I got to go and see her on Saturday. My sides still hurt from laughing so hard. She is awesome! I just love her!! She is a "clean" comedian. No curse words. She just talks about everyday observations. Which to me, what is funnier than everyday things that happen in real life? She is great. Her are a few of her skits! And a pic of me and my friends with Anjelah after the show. And Now A Matthew Moment

This morning Alex woke up crying. So, I went up stairs to check on him. After I calmed him down and sent him to go lay in my bed with Kevin, I went to check on Matthew. And this is how I found him. Sound asleep and hanging off his bed. Poor guy! He was tired after his birthday party yesterday. (I will post those pics soon.)

Lunch with Alex

Matthew and I had lunch with Alex on Wednesday. It was fun! I think Alex was excited to have us eat with his class. I think we might go again before the school holiday begins. Matthew liked pushing his tray like Alex he said. Matthew waiting for big brother, Alex. Here comes Alex and the rest of Ms. Miller's class. Here are the brothers Parks chowing down.

Christmas Time Fun: The Family Tree Game

Here is a fun game we played last Christmas. I found it in a magazine called Family Fun . The game is called Family Tree. It is really fun. I just thought I'd share. You might like to play it at one of your Christmas gatherings. Here is how you play : Don't limit your tree-trimming traditions to your evergreen. Transform Dad into a decorated Christmas tree in this hilarious after-dinner activity. Supply your kids with green and red crepe paper, aluminum foil, and masking tape. When they're done, gather 'round the tree and take a photo to add to your family album or send as next year's holiday card. I found great plastic ornaments and plastic hooks at the .99 Store. And I bought a star ornament and hot glued it to a girl's head band for the star topper. It was fun to do. Send me pics of your family trees if you play! Here are Brian and Steve. Our family trees from last year. Don't they look like they are having fun?!! :)

Fun Finds: Zany Gift Ideas

One of my fave websites is called: Perpetual Kid.com . It is full of crazy, cool, and zany things. I love it. Here are a few new things they have added. They make perfect white elephant gifts . There are a ton of things. There is something for the whole family. :) What happens if you take a drink. Don't drink before you eat your finger food off your fingertip plate. Lol ! Play- doh scented perfume. He, he. Yup. They even have crayola, birthday cake, and others. This one cracks me up. Gin and Titonic ! Ha. This is perfect for the Law and Order fan in your life. Ha! Funny. Here is a bit of Trivia: The term White Elephant has its origins in Thailand. Albino elephants, otherwise known as "white elephants," were considered sacred. Keeping a white elephant was a financial burden costing the owner who had to feed and care for it. It is told that emperors would give these sacred elephants as a gift to subjects they did not like ultimately causing their ruin. Therefore the t...
