Transco Tower: Williams Water Wall

We took the boys to the Water Wall outside of Transco Tower near The Galleria area while my sister was here for her birthday a few weeks ago. It was a gorgeous day! We had a great lunch in Katy and on our way home decided to stop. They loved every second of it. I had not been there in years. My sister's friend Christina was also with us and she had never been so it was fun showing her a new place, too. I forget that there are places like this that don't charge admission to see and that can also be so much fun to do. The boys have since asked to go back. Next time I think we might pack a lunch and sit and eat our lunch on the grassy area out in front. It was fun!

Wordless Wed.

And Now A Matthew Moment

Today was such a beautiful day. The weather was just perfect. The boys played outside quite a bit this afternoon. They rode bikes and played football with Kevin when he got home. I got video of Matthew riding his bike. He looked too cute with his helmet on scooting around. He can tear up the cul-de-sac with his little tricycle. You can see his little football in his yellow basket in the back. He is saying "Cowabunga" in the video. Who knows why? It was his word of the day.

Pfft, on change! :P

OK. So, if it ain't broke don't fix it! I woke and decided to go back to my original layout. HA! So, if you missed the new one, sorry! You snoze you lose. Lol! Tracy B., thanks for your comment. We were on the same page! I had to change it back. I like this one better. It is less girly. And represents my little guys well. :)

Changes?!

I used to change my blog background all the time. Then I found one I liked and well just didn't change it again for a long time. Well, everytime I look at my friend Keri's blog and my neighbor Tracy's blogs I always love how they change their backgrounds up. So, I decided I wanted a new look as well. I am not sure about it. What do you guys think? Good change? Or did you like the other layout? Or does it really matter so much? Hmmm.

Taylor Swift Never Sounded So Good! ;)

My boys love the Taylor Swift song called uh, Love Story is it? I think that is right. They sing it at the top of their lungs. Kevin also loves this song. It is where they learned it. I finally caught them singing it yesterday and had the camera. It is quite a sight to see. And hear. Aly Wiggin is in the backseat also singing her little heart out! She too knows every word of the song. At one point Matthew even says, " that's dad's favorite part." Lol! I miss the days KINDA when they would request Raffi's Baby Beluga or Down By The Bay . Now, its Taylor Swift , or Survivors "Eye Of The Tiger" (thanks to Rock Band 2 ) that they want to hear. Which isn't bad. Except it is over and over and over. Here is the video clip! Enjoy. They really get into it.

Vacation Bible School at Atascocita United Methodist Church

This year I am the Director of Vacation Bible School at my church. It is just around the corner. Where I am very excited to be involved in such an awesome ministry at my church. I am also secretly (well, not a secret anymore) FREAKING OUT loud!!! I can't believe it will be here before we know it. Actually, it will be here in 67 days!! OMGosh!! Really?? Thank goodness for my Co-Director Stephanie Dement! She has been such a big help! She is just awesome. And for Ms. Beth, our Director of Children's Ministries. Those two ladies rock!! I could not do this without them. Phew!! For everyone that is involved and you know who you are... Thank you!! O' so much.

Bluebonnets

On our way home from Austin on Easter Sunday, we stopped and took pictures of the boys in the bluebonnets. I love this time of year! We found an awesome field of them just outside of Brenham. The weather was gorgeous. The boys just took off running in them. It was fun to see and do. Springtime in Texas rocks!

On Top Of The Rock!

Like I said, we had a blast while in NY. Here we are at The Top Of The Rock . Good times!

Cheetos Carrots

I can't wait to make these fun Cheetos carrots again this year. I made them last year. My neighbor Tracy gave me the idea. I am going to make them as treats for Matthew's class. I can't believe Easter is upon us. Really? Is it April? How fast is this year passing us by?? http://brendaandtheboys.blogspot.com/2008/03/my-favorite-things_23.html
